Dual Pricing
A pricing model that displays a cash price and a card price for the same item, letting the customer choose.
Dual pricing shows two prices for the same product — a lower cash price and a card price — so the customer decides how to pay. It is a compliant way to offset card-processing costs by making the cost of card acceptance transparent.
It is closely related to a cash discount and is distinct from surcharging, which adds a separate fee to card transactions. Each model follows different card-network rules, so it should be configured by a processor who keeps it compliant.
